“Splendid chilling Publishers are flooding the market with books describing various aspects of the Great War. But none of them can surpass this book's visual explanation.”—Anthony Brandt (blog review)

"Excellent." according to William. This book is a stunning historical record of the brutality of the Great War. I've seen many photos of the war from ground level but to see field after field filled with craters really brought home the level of destruction. The photos are amazingly revealing, given the primitive equipment used in aerial photography. Each photo comes with commentary and often with transparent overlays to help the reader understand what the photos reveal. The authors and institutions that made this work possible must be commended.. Vin's Mom said A MUST HAVE book. This is an incredible book. The text is fascinating and the way the photographs are presented gives you a deep insight into the devastation caused by the Great War.. Five Stars Great book to give a unique perspective on the War to end all Wars.
