Recognizing the resistance to being happy and the addiction to being unhappy is the first, difficulty step that has taken me a long time to see. I was in the middle of this book when my mom suddenly became ill and passed away. I was able to recognize my own warning signs of unhappiness and deal with them in a more effective manner and I am moving forward in life rather than spinning in grief.
