Just Me said Pretty Good for Middle Ground. I chuckle when I read the other reviewer on this because I bought it wanting learn Italian to have a conversation with a friend only to find it was way too geared for people wanting to take a trip. Go figure.Actually I took a community ed class and this was the book the instructor used.The CDs are good, though the two native language speakers pronounce things slightly . "Worked for my dad and he's not even good with regular old English" according to Vanessa. Got this for my dad as a Christmas present before his trip to Italy, and despite his dyslexia (he's not even great with English!) it really worked! He diligently studied on almost a daily basis for a few months, and when he arrived in Italy he was able to read signage and have a little bit of touristy conversation.. Extremely helpful I am taking an Italian class but got this to go along with it. I love listening to the CDs in my car. The book is very easy to understand as well! Definitely recommend!!
