Great basic introduction to drum programming KGW This is a great book if you know next to nothing about drums and drum programming.For me personally, the book is very basic. However, I have been doing drum programming since the 1980. More music styles would have been nice (like jazz). I was really hoping for more things like drum rolls (not covered at all). I did learn a few things like how to make hi-hat barking sound better. The chapter on mixing a. "Recommended" according to Albert. As a non-drummer I needed a book about the basic background of drumming, and also to give me more ideas on programming drums as I was always ending up with the same simple stuff. This book gives clear examples of different type of styles (pop, rock, metal) and is easy to read.The material is spread out nicely, not all crammed on pages and easy to follow.As a bonus, you can download the examples as smal.
