The author obviously loves his subject, and has provided a book of drawings that he has made in figure drawing sessions, with brief commentary and some explanatory schematic diagrams. The drawings are certainly competent, and the instruction is undogmatic.. "An excellent book for pros." according to El Sooko. This is a great book, but for whom? Not for those interested in drawings. It contains beautiful hhort pose drawings like the one on the cover, but similar and better can be found online . It is for experienced artists, and the author admits as much. By experienced I mean really experienced and almost as good as the author himself. This can sound misleading, but in most cases the difference between a great draftsman and onw nearly as good is very little, except that it's all the difference on the world. So by experienced I mean pretty good. Having said this, I don't men to imply only the very advanced can learn from it, just th. "Concise and useful" according to KeithBroad. Very slim volume that contains very concise and lucid lessons in figure drawings. A worthwhile addition to your art library.
