If you are designing your first typeface, get it now. I cant tell you how many times I find a difficult letter and turn to Designing Type. Any typeface designer has dissecte. "Misleading title, great reference" according to BZ. This book does not teach you how to design type. But it's still great!The book goes analyzes common Latin glyphs (you won't find Vietnamese in here) from classic typefaces and points out details in their construction. There is a serif section and a sans serif section. The book does not say much about Italic type, just Roman.Really beautiful to look at, and very informative to read.
