As Interim Library Director at Athena College, Charlie Harris has more than enough to do, including delivering the welcoming speech at the annual meeting of the Southern Academic Library Association. As much as Charlie hates giving speeches, he is more than happy to catch up with old friends attending the meeting. He is less pleased to run into Gavin Fong whom he has clashed with in the past and clashes with again at the meeting. When Gavin is murdered Charlie is high on the suspect list. T. Old friends don't always bring good memories. The college that Charlie works at is hosting this years Southern Academic Library Association Annual Conference (SALA). Librarians who went to Library School with Charlie are scheduled to come. Most are old friends, but one is an enemy. Gavin Fong is known to rub a lot of people the wrong way. As the conference starts, he goats Charlie into hitting him. This also happened in the past when Gavin was bothering Charlies late wife Jackie. Over the years, Charlie thought that he had his temper u. Love this series! Let me start by saying this is one of my all time favourite cat cozy series. I wait for each one eagerly and read them too quickly. This is a really good one because it shows Charlie's maturing attitude towards the mysteries he gets involved in. He's learned to step back and leave a lot (not all!) of the detecting to the detective. That said I did get a little tired of his dithering about the changes in his life. The mystery involves an old school mate who neither Charlie nor any of the man
