Having once lived in Virginia and having traveled throughout the state, I find this book to beautifully depict, both in text and photograph, the Virginia countryside and many of its one-of-a-kind plantations and estates. For me, it really captures the finest of Virginia's domestic architecture and rural landscapes. I will enjoy looking through this book whenever I am missing Virginia!.
