Excellent methodology, but redundant and Kindle version is very self-promotional This is an exceptional book that can be best summarized in one sentence: "Start with the end in mind." The book addresses how to get a team to focus on ultimate goals and work backwards. As a strategy consultant, I definitely found the book to be a solid read because it takes away much of the daily minutiae that consultants and leaders often get tripped up by (what the authors term the "whirlwind").Positives:Although I already implement many of the methods outline. Great short principle-based self-help! Ay-Ay-Ron! I'm starting to notice that I'm collecting quite a bit of self-help from Covey. I play this audiobook during shorter drives, I like Chris' energy during the recording, keeps your self awake and engage on the conversation. Contents-wise, as always the way Covey has done in his other materials it's very much principles-based approach, something that would be generally applicable in situations and doesn't age. I highly recommend for people approaching or at the begin. Fix the Whirlwind and Avoid the Workaround S. M. McMillion Interesting focus on execution. I really liked the idea of the whirlwind and how it can suck the life out of the most important efforts without the discipline to stay focused.
