The Emerson family and their acquaintances are a bit off kilter, but so likable.Great reading for anyone who is tired of all the graphic descriptions in books so many writ. This time around I get to share the story of Amelia and Emerson with my kids as our family read-aloud choice. The result? They LOVE the characters as much as I do! They cheered, laughed aloud and have even begun to incorporate 'Peabody-isms' into conversation.We are a homeschool family and appreciate books that start conversations on a variety of topics, even for books we choose mostly for fun. This book started conversations on morality, Middle Eastern culture, development of women.
