No book will take the place of an apprenticeship, and you can't learn a trade from reading, but knowledge is power and the more tattoo books you read the better. For better technical tattoo books I recomend: Reinventing the Tattoo, 2nd Edition Also, this book is excellent: Advanced Tattooing Techniques A Guide To Realism You may also find this book useful: Basic Fundamentals Of Modern Tattoo.
