So disappointing!! This last book in the Cahill/Vesper series was such a HUGE disappointment! As I read this one, I kept 'falling out of the dream' because of the silly dialogue, huge plot gaps, characters' illogical or unbelievable actions, and the author's overly obvious attempts to make this sound like a 'tween/young adult' book (including bodily function hum. "Worst book I ever read" according to Sudershan Gupta. What kind of book is this? Dan says 'freaking' so many times. There were so many loose ends and come on, a doomsday device? Really? So clinched. Water filling up the room or poisoning someone? Clearly clinched. Dan is so sarcastic, Amy and Jake are acting like a cute couple, and Atticus is so serious. Ian, Jonah, Hamilton, and Evan are undevel. Paula Berman said they may have saved the worst for last. Lots of action, horrible, horrible writing. If I didn't know Baldacci had a number of published books to his credit, I wouldn't have guessed it from reading this one. I want to read it to find out what happens, but the klunky sentences and flat dialogue keep pulling me out of the story - they might have bothered me less when I was 11 or so, th
