DESCRIPTION:
And an old Cold War wrong has placed former U.S. McLarty uses his distinctive, almost avuncular delivery to excellent purpose in this action-packed thriller that finds the Camel Club members attacked by three tough customers seeking revenge. Middle-aged baritones offer no great challenge to McLarty's talent, yet his subtle shifts are admirable, from the thoughtful, slightly rough-edged Stone to the rougher-edged Bagger to Gray's sneeringly perfect locution. "Did Baldacci write this?" according to Rj Schinner. I am an avid Baldacci fan and have read all the Camel Club books, except 'Bullseye'. This one is not a "page turner". At times I thought "did Baldacci really write this?"Annabella took a back seat in this novel. That's sad because she is the gutsy cool character. Caleb and Reuben also were minor characters. This novel takes lots of twists, perhaps too many. Anyway I finished it. Please David, if you are reading this go back to the characters that made the "club" so enjoyable. Do a prequel with Milton and the orig. Citizen Cynthia said Was this written by Baldacci?. I'm a big fan of David Baldacci and was really disappointed in "Hell's Corner." It was choppy, confusing and trite. I wondered several times if he actually wrote the book or had some protege write it like a lot of big-time authors seem to be doing now. I usually love his books because they are exciting and fun with lots of "insider" info, but this one was boring. I didn't feel attached to any of the characters and I predicted most of the dramatic points in the book. There is no character development. I didn't car. John Mercier said "Not So Cold". Book "Not So Cold" Book 3 of the "Camel Club" didn't let me down. The author, David Baldacci, has the great talent of being able to write 2 parallel stories in the same novel. Then he brilliantly combines them at the end. Annabelle Conroy is still trying to outwit Jerry Bragger after she and her team conned "Not So Cold" John Mercier Book 3 of the "Camel Club" didn't let me down. While Oliver Stone, Milton, Reuben, and Caleb are trying to find out who is killing John Carr's old "666" team before they get to Oliver. Of course none of this can be done without Secret Service agent Ale. 0 million out of him.
