Not for solo piano. The violin carries the melody above the piano accompaniment in most of these songs. They are NOT transcriptions for solo piano. The arrangements are excellent if you wish to play with another musician on a separate instrument capable of playing a descant.. Just a bit disappointed in this CB Just a bit disappointed in this. Maybe I didn't read the description well enough but I thought I was getting a keyboard arrangement of the tunes. What was written was the solo violin (or voice) on a separate stave over a keyboard reduction of the orchestral accompaniment. To play everything, you will need to fit the violin part into the accompaniment and sometimes it is overlapping. Just be aware of that. Overall though the arrangements are good and true to the recording.. S. Bertsch said No separate violin part. Generous collection of pieces, but beware - there is no separate violin part, so you'll have to deal w/ multiple pages which for some of the pieces is very inconvenient. Why isn't there a separate violin part? Crazy!
