jane swanson said one of my favorite Spenser books. one of the best Spenser books so far. got to see plenty of older characters and their personalities as well as one new one. did miss out on Hawk but the others made up for it. was good story plot and character relationships. I have read all Spenser books in order up to this one. was not required to read in sequence but it helps some . "I really miss Robert Parker." according to Thomas M. Shepard. Since Robert Parker's death a few years ago, no one has come along to fill that huge void. I find myself scouring through his old titles to find something that I missed and so far have been able to find treasure. Paper Doll is no exception. Some day I will run out of titles but for now, at least, there is still some excellent reading. Four Stars good
