True friends can survive anything. Even an exorcism. I wasn't sure what I was getting into with MY BEST FRIEND'S EXORCISM. Nostalgia? Horror? Comedy? A little bit of all of those things would be the fair summary. The first chunk of the book details how our main character Abby becomes friends with Gretchen, and their personal history is peppered with a n. This was a good horror read, but I would not compare it to Blatty's, "The Exorcist" as other reviewers have previously done. While it is similar in subject matter, it does not provide the reader with the intense, graphic scenes of "The Exorcist."
