DESCRIPTION:
The First Lady, a longtime child advocate, expresses her concerns for the children of today's world and offers her ideas for developing our society into one that values children's unique contributions.
For more than twenty-five years, First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton has made children her passion and her cause. In other words, it takes a village to raise a child.. Her experience with children has strengthened her conviction that how children develop and what they need to succeed is inextricably entwined with the society in which they live and how well it sustains and supports its families and individuals
It offers some great advice. I recommend it highly EnnisP When this book first came out I bought into the conservative hype that is was nothing but liberal tripe. But then, with Hillary running for president and doing well, I decided to read it for myself.Yea, you read that right. I adopted an opinion before reading the book. What I found was a down to earth, practical read that encourages governments, communities and homes to value children. It offers some great advice. I recommend it highly.. "America's Power of Community." according to LoveToLearn. This book made me so proud of Hillary and thankful for her service to American society. This is both a top down and bottom up approach to improving communities and providing social support for families.. "Four Stars" according to Dilip Nene. Good one
