DESCRIPTION:
Jordan said Well done. Perfect book . great images . a must have for Guido Guidi fans - Just a remarkable body of work , Thank you for taking these amazing images and sharing with the world. A very strange book This is an odd one. I was very much looking forward to the book because it was described as the work of a photographer who had visited and photograghed Brion numerous times. Which turned out to be true. Butmany of the same views of the tomb are repeated 5 or 6 times in full-page photos. If the lighting of each had been markedly different, that could have been interesting. But most are shot with flat lighting and are nearly identical. The kicker is that some well-known aspects of the tomb (the arch or vault) aren't depicted at all anywhere in the book! Also, many interesting details are. Albertine said Extraordinary book. Since 1995, Italian photographer Guido Guidi (born 1941) has trained his large-format camera on the Brion family's memorial vault at San Vito d'Altivole. Designed by the great Carlo Scarpa (1906-1978), the burial site is explored over the years at different times of the day and in different seasons, building a remarkable portrait of place, time, creator and admirer.
