The aim of this manual is to pass on experience to people wishing to use the ‘Exploring Feelings’ (Atwood 2004) materials in a group setting with young people who have ASD and high anxiety. Their experience ought to include a background in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, work with young people with autism spectrum disorder and their families, and child mental health more generally. The manual is written with the expectation that group leaders will have support from an experienced supervisor. The manual is intended as an adjunct training resource for the supervisor and the group leaders.
