The author puts in helpful tips and recommended practice and warmup techniques, and clearly explains what the student should be doing.
The series contains over 600 examples, including 30 drum solos. Written by a highly qualified music educator with over 20 years of experience teaching both children and adults.. The books gradually and logically progress opening with very basic drum beats using quarter notes and eighth notes, advancing to all divisions of the beat in common time. If the student has completed book one, there should be no problems continuing through this book. This book is example driven without long unnecessary explanations. This consecutive book continues to progress the student, presenting a wider variety of drum beats and ending with 10 additional drum solos. A real live teacher is always beneficial, however it is possible to continue independently. There is something here for everyone from beginner to advanced levels.
