Great inspiration for the enamelist! Suzanne B I really like this book! I'm new to enameling and love to read and see everything I can regarding the subject. This book gives an overview of basic enameling techniques, but also in depth information of some well known enamelists. They share some of their techniques of their beautiful work. There is a gallery of artists and their work. Wonder. Fine book about a fine art craft Pages full of items to consider: lovely craftsmanship and art forms. Being an initiate of enameling is allowing me to fully appreciate the author's work, and the tips in the book. thank you.. This author knows enameling inside and out I met Lilyan Bachrach at an Enameling Society conference about 3 years ago, and know that she is one of modern enameling's biggest supporters, as well as being a wonderful enamelist in her own right. I was delighted to add this new book to my personal library and to also put it into the reference library at the Columbus (Ohio) Cultural Arts C
Their words and work will instruct and inspire beginners and encourage the next generation of metal workers to carry enameling to new heights.. More than 30 experienced enamelists share their specialized knowledge for using cloisonne, plique-a-jour, champleve, and basse-taille techniques on silver, gold, foils, and metal clay to make jewelry, vessels, portraits, and more. This book beautifully illustrates the wide range of artistic innovation and techniques expressed in vitreous, or "hard," enamels on metal. Works from an additional 55 artists are also displayed in over 350 color photographs
