The author dilutes the field of child development into an age-appropriate and camp-relevant guide. I'd recommend that camp staff purchase this book for counselors or utilize some of the activities in their training.. Invaluable Guide for Camp Counselors There isn't too much to say outside of the fact that this is a WONDERFUL guide for both new and experienced camp counselors. Well worth the cost and even as a 6th year counselor I keep it packed in my gear to reference when needed.If you're a camp administrator and have the money I suggest buying this for every one of your returning and new counselors. As part of my training as a counselor, we have to complete online courses before camp starts. Imagine my surprise when one of the courses was based off of this book! I had purchased this book a couple of weeks before my online training started so it felt good being ahead of the game. As my dad . said Great!. This book was very helpful to me.
