Michelle said Good for intermediates, but not for beginners.. I bought this book when I was just beginning watercolor and I quickly learned this is not a great book for beginners. It does not give step by step instructions, and I was overwhelmed. One year later, after a great deal of learning and development, I find this book is enough to guide me without, as one reviewer called it, "paint by number.". Amazon Customer said Absolutely love this book. Absolutely love this book, I am a beginner in watercolor and this book is perfect for learning techniques and many other things. It has step by step instructions and lists the colors needed for each painting.. GOOD QUALITY BOOK! This book, 30 Minute Landscapes is very good quality. The illustrations are clear and bright with good contrast. Instructions are easy to follow and it is quick. I'm sure I will learn a lot even though my paintings may not look as nice as the author's examples do. I guess no book can give you a steady hand and talent! I bought this book to get some experience and work up to my new Complete Watercolorist's Essential Notebook that I received as a gift. I will continue to try to do

But a surefire way to keep your paintings loose and fresh is to work quickly! In this informative, 64-page book, accomplished artist Paul Talbot-Greaves proves that painting in watercolor doesn't have to be an all-day event. Discover the benefits of completing a watercolor painting in 30 minutes or lessSpending hours or even days on a watercolor painting can lead to dull, muddy results. In fact, an impressive landscape scene can be created in just 30 minutes or less, which Paul demonstrates in 27 step-by-step lessons
