goodperson said great read.. This is the first book of Ms. peter's I have read. I loved it. What a magical writer she is. I highly recommend her books under both her names. I have read and re-read all of her books under the Barbara Michael's name and own all of them in paperback (thanks to Amazon) as well. If you are new to Elizabeth Peters books and didn't yet know that she also writes under the Barbara Michaels name I hope you will check out those books too. You can't go wrong with this author.. More Like a Barbara Michaels Novel J. Sexton The Love Talker feels more like a Barbara Michaels novel. I could also believe that Mary Stewart wrote it. There's very little romance, but there is a nice little mystery. I didn't expect some of the twists, but in hindsight the trace was laid to be followed. The main family had thoroughly likeable characters. I could relate to Laurie's trials with her elderly relatives and her half-brother. The book was a fun read.. Lisa said Couldn't put it down.. Certainly her Aunt Ida's invitation was well intentioned, and she couldn't really have meant what she said: "I have nothing of which to complain, considering my age. There is no peace in Idlewood.
