I first read the series several years ago. With the the portability and ease of reading electronically I am reliving the stories of Clare and Jamie and Brianna and Roger et al again.How sad that people clamor over the 50 Shades of . books. This is so much more fulfilling. As "romance" novels have become more bold and inclusive of explicit dialog I find myself skipping through that. Been there done that. Insert Tab A into Slot B etc. etc. borING. I want the emotion and feeling of the relationship.Diana delivers the emotion, sights, so. mousemom said If you enjoy a well written historical novel, with time travel and charming main characters this, dear reader, is for you.. I applaud the author for her story telling, research, interesting characters and vivid descriptions. However, the violence was too much for me - way too much. I've been reading through the series since the 1990s and someone gave me a copy of Outlander. I am now "hooked" on the TV series - but still enjoy the books (except for the violence). I purchased this copy of the book to finish my set. I recommend the series to anyone who has not already discovered it -- are there readers who have no discovered the series. I look forward to the
