This edition benefits from the editor's extensive knowledge of the Shakespeare canon, especially in the 50 pages of the technical introduction, in the footnotes to the text, and in the appendices that deal with performance history. This is frustrating if you are referencing it in a paper - which is done by act, scene, and line.The other odd thing about this addition is that the "Annotated" part comes wholesale from Wikipedia. The cut of the play gives the feel of the entire work and all of the suggestions on staging and props are right on for a middle-high school production of the play. I can't wait to do another play from the series next year.
