Surprising and Delightful Elizabeth Vieira Turow has always developed his characters splendidly and this is no exception. Sometimes, though, I wished he would get on with the plot instead of the long explanations of human nature (which, admittedly, is food for thought.) Mack's dark whit is hilarious and entertaining. And the whodunit at the end caught me by surprise. I will also have to admit that as someone who has always been a loyal and hard worker but has been looked over and unappreciated, I enjoyed how he eventually raided his company of millions and got away with it.
