Good Buy I felt compelled to write a review after reading Oivavoi's. I agree totally in what he says in the review. Funny enough I also went to the same school in the South of France last year. I was tested into their avancé 2 (the highest level). I had been doing the Pimsleur French course before, during and after the course. Whilst my grammar isn't Molière perfect, I speak French well with almost no foreign accent, and I credit a large part to Pimsleur. I have also done Michel Thomas, Rocket French, Behind the Wheels, How Real French People Speak French, class. Pimsleur French series works for me If you are considering purchasing Level 5 of the Pimsleur French series, most likely you are already familiar with this program and Dr. Pimsleur's theories about learning new languages. As that information is available online, I won't reprise it here.I can, however, briefly share my experience. Several years ago when I was living in Paris, I enrolled in beginner's French classes at the Alliance Francaise, three afternoons a week for two months.
