DESCRIPTION:
Incredible Images and Behind the Scenes Access Into Cheshire Bridge The images in this book are amazing! Teri has truly captured the essence of one of the more interesting but least photographed areas of Atlanta. That she was given access for some of these images is astonishing in itself. Each one is more interesting than the last. I know this was a monumental feat, choosing from so many pictures. You did a fabulous job and really honored a community soon to be lost. K. "Amazing artist. Quality coffee table book." according to J.Scott Owens. Perfectly captures the soul of this iconic road and the journey it provides many in Atlanta GA.
Also, Teri was interviewed by Lois Reitzes of National Public Radio to discuss her Cheshire Bridge Road project during a City Lights segment. With the recent plowing down of many establishments, people question if Cheshire Bridge were “sanitized”, where will they go?. Cheshire Bridge has been a place for all to gather without judgment within the confines of this one-and-a-half mile road. Recently, Cheshire Bridge road began suffering from an explosion of redevelopment, specifically with demolishing decades old small businesses, and replacing them with high rise apartments and massive multi-level storage facilities. The surrounding neighborhoods have fought for years to shutdown businesses that have survived for decades, and question who has the right to exist and be happy, to be in love, and who deserves to be in our community.
