I bought this book in anticipation of a visit to NYC. It gave me more background on places and some good suggestions for things to visit outside the tourist spots (although it has info on plenty of those too).. "A Great Book for New Yorkers and Tourists Alike!" according to QualityPet. I've lived in New York for five years and this was a page turner because it completely opened up my eyes to the things around me that I never noticed. The author has a great style and the descriptions in the book are perfect for someone looking to get an in depth look at places and landmarks that they never new existed. Highly recommended!
